Cruisin' with the Kiddos

If you haven’t already noticed, our family loves to travel! I’m sure this is a familiar concept for most Suburban Chic Moms. According to a recent training that I attended called Bridges Out of Poverty, the middle class generally spends a portion of their financial resources on vacationing. When you think about it, we spend a great deal of time working long hours in the careers that we’ve worked so hard to attain; we feel as if we owe ourselves some rest and relaxation a couple of times out of the year. Nevertheless, in talking to some moms, even though the financial resources are available, I’m finding that they are either fearful of traveling with small children or they feel as though vacation time is solely for the adults. While I value the benefits of getting away with your mate, girlfriends or traveling solo, vacationing with my family provides me with the opportunity to spend quality time with them (one of my love languages) and share new experiences. These shared experiences create memories that leave lasting impressions. #priceless
